Job summary

Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity is seeking a Receiving Associate I to join our ReStore team in Urbandale, IA. You will help unload donations, price items, and maintain an organized, welcoming space for staff, volunteers, and customers.

Responsibilities include entering donation data into Salesforce, sorting and recycling items, keeping work areas clean, and assisting donors. You will work with volunteers and support general warehouse operations with a positive, can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a warehouse, retail, or similar environment is a plus.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 80 lbs.) repeatedly and safely.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to Habitat for Humanity’s mission and environmental stewardship.
• Willingness to work with volunteers, diverse staff and customer base.
• Home Appliances/Repair, a plus!

Position Summary:

We are seeking a hardworking, motivated Receiving Associate I to join our team. You will play an essential role in ensuring the efficient operation of the receiving area and maintaining a welcoming, safe, and organized space for staff, volunteers, and customers. You’ll be responsible for unloading donations, organizing inventory, assisting donors, and supporting general warehouse operations.
