Job summary

Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore is seeking a Front Associate I to support daily store operations. You will greet customers, answer questions, restock merchandise, and help maintain a clean, welcoming sales floor while collaborating with volunteers.

This role uses the POS system to complete transactions, highlights sale items, and contributes to a positive shopping experience. The team values reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to engage with volunteers to further our

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail or customer service experience; familiarity with ReStore product types is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 80 lbs.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to work independently within your department while being a collaborative team player.
• Willingness to work with volunteers.

Position Summary:

The ReStore Front Associate I supports daily store operations by assisting customers, answering questions, and providing friendly, helpful service throughout the sales floor. This role stocks and restocks merchandise, highlights and merchandises inventory to support sales, and maintains clean, organized work areas. The Front Associate I operates the POS system to complete

transactions accurately and contributes to a positive, welcoming shopping experience for all customers. This position also works with volunteers as assigned.
