Job summary

Aegis Therapies in Mattoon, IL, is seeking a PRN Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join our Rehab Therapy Team. As a CNA/Wellness Instructor you will collaborate with therapists to deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs, reporting to the Director of Rehabilitation.

Full restorative training is provided on site; CNA certification is required. The role emphasizes ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, and ROM with a patient-centered focus, offering flexibility and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current certification as CNA in state of practice.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite. No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.
