Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of post‑JD experience in Criminal Justice or related field.
  • Supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience collaborating with government agencies and non‑profit organizations.
  • Strong organizational, written, and oral skills.
  • Ability to succeed in fast‑paced high‑volume atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Bureau Chief in running the day-to-day operations of the Alternative Sentencing Unit and the Crime Victims Advocate Program, including management of ADAs and support professionals assigned to the bureau.
  • Monitor cases and collaborate with the court, defense bar, Assistant District Attorneys and other stakeholders.
  • Serve on various interagency committees and attend multidisciplinary meetings to strategize about individual cases, treatment, and service delivery challenges to improve case outcomes.
  • Compile and analyze data, maintain statistics, and draft case summaries; analyze trends and prepare management reports and annual staff evaluations.
  • Attend community meetings and events, including some during evening hours and on weekends.
  • Prepare and present legal and educational training for ADAs, service providers, community groups and other agencies.
