Pavilion of Bridgeview is seeking a Restorative Services Aide to join their team!
The Restorative Services Aide is a CNA who helps patients/residents maximize their existing abilities, emphasize independence, and minimize the negative effects of disability with a positive attitude of realistic optimism.
Restorative Services Aide Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the Restorative Care Nurse to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct restorative care services, programs, and activities according to current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Meet with administration, medical and nursing staff, therapy department, and other related departments for planning restorative care.
- Interpret restorative care policies and procedures to personnel, residents, family members, etc.
- Document all restorative care notes to be informative and descriptive of the treatment provided and the resident’s response.
- Provide physical support for patients/residents’ daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, toileting, walking, standing, or exercising.
- Assist patients with daily medication and supplements.
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients.
- Ensure proper resident/patient diet based on dietary restrictions.
- Examine patients for open wounds, bruises, or blood in urine.
- Clean rooms and bed linens.
- Check and record vital signs under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Respond to patient calls and needs.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Restorative Services Aide Qualifications and Skills:
- Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for various medical conditions.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to relate positively and effectively with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff.
- Basic computer knowledge with an aptitude to learn company applications.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- State Certified Nursing Assistant License/Certification.
- CPR Certification.
- Preferred: 1 year of restorative experience, training in rehabilitative and restorative therapy practices, long-term care experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, pulling, and ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, with or without mechanical aids.
