Salary: $57,500 - $82,500, commensurate with experience
Start Date: August 13, 2025The Position
Under the direction of the Building Principal or designee, the Restorative Practices Coordinator will have the following job requirements:
- Five years successful teaching experience at the secondary level (preferred)
- Outstanding leadership and personal qualifications
- Superior oral and written communications
- Excellent ability to relate with students, parents, staff, administration, and community
- Demonstrates mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the requirements of the position
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and a Michigan Teaching Certificate is preferred. The candidate must be adept with technology and ready to consider emergent techniques to enhance student experiences. Successful candidate duties may include:
- Ability to resolve all student discipline problems in a fair and just manner
- Develop and administer practices dealing with campus control and security
- Use and coordination of restorative practices, positive behavior supports, and cognitive coaching best practices
- Confer with parents, teachers, counselors, support personnel and students on matters of discipline/welfare
- Assist with general supervision of students before, during, and after school, including during lunch times.
- Coordinate all middle school athletics, working directly with the Director of Athletics
- Aide the Assistant Principal with student attendance issues, including appeals
- Compile data in regard to discipline and report such information to Assistant Principal
- Must successfully complete a Live Scan Criminal Records Check
- Perform other related duties as assigned
This position reports to the Building Principal or designee.
