Job summary
Birmingham Rehabilitation & Wellness is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead Restorative Nursing and Quality Assurance initiatives. The role focuses on maintaining resident function, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving clinical quality across restorative and QA programs.
The position requires an active RN license, long term care experience, and CPR/BLS certification, with strong skills in documentation, data tools, and EHR usage to support performance improvement and CMS readiness.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
- Long term care or skilled nursing experience required.
- Experience in restorative nursing, MDS, quality assurance, or QAPI preferred.
- Knowledge of CMS regulations, quality measures, and survey processes.
- Current CPR and BLS certification.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with EHR systems and basic data tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee restorative nursing care plans.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate restorative staff on restorative techniques.
- Coordinate with therapy to transition residents to restorative programs.
- Monitor progress toward functional goals and documentation of services.
