Join Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Community as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents! We are currently offering a generous $2,500 hiring bonus for full-time positions, with a first installment of $1,000.

Job Overview
As a dedicated member of our restorative nursing team, you will provide essential rehabilitative services that help residents maintain or enhance their activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility. This full-time role features 12-hour day and evening shifts, with a rotating schedule that ensures you enjoy a three-day weekend every other week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide rehabilitative services to residents, supporting their ADLs and mobility.
  • Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and the Rehab Department.
  • Document care accurately using electronic medical records software.
  • Assist residents with feeding, transport, and escorting them to activities.
  • Perform transfers, lifting, and positioning of residents safely.
  • Take vital signs, as well as measure and document intake and output.

Required Skills

  • Ability to provide detailed reports at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records software.
  • Competence in taking vital signs and handling mobility assistance.
  • Experience in providing compassionate care and support to residents.

Qualifications

  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in Washington State or eligibility for certification within 120 days of employment.
  • Completion of a Nursing Assistant Certification program.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Current CPR training.
