Job summary

Tampico Healthcare Center in Walnut Creek, California seeks a compassionate Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) to support residents under a licensed nurse’s supervision. You will deliver restorative nursing care, track progress in the EMR, and participate in care planning to achieve positive clinical outcomes and family satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has a state-approved CNA program, at least two years’ CNA experience in restorative care, and a willingness to learn computer basics.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state-approved certified nursing assistant program.
• Two years' CNA experience with restorative nursing knowledge.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn computer basics.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and participates in restorative programs for individual patients.
• Communicates with Nursing and Rehab on goals and approaches to patient needs.
• Participates in care planning and provides safe restorative care.
• Maintains progress and documentation for restorative programs.
• Uses EMR for ADL documentation per facility policy.
• Trains direct care staff in restorative techniques and assists in providing that care.
• Promotes safety culture and monitors changes in patient functioning.
