Majestic Care of Cedar Village in Mason, OH is seeking a Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) / CNA to support residents' mobility, independence, and daily living activities under licensed staff.

You will implement restorative care plans, assist with range of motion, transfers, feeding, and documentation, promoting safety and comfort while collaborating with the rehab team. This role emphasizes compassionate care aligned with LEAD values and requires an active CNA certificate.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification required in the state of employment.
• Experience in restorative care or rehab settings is a plus.
• Ability to document resident progress accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized restorative care plans as prescribed by licensed staff.
• Assist with mobility training, transfers, ROM exercises, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Support daily living activities (dressing, grooming, bathing, feeding).
• Observe residents and communicate progress or concerns to the nursing/rehabilitation team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of restorative services and residents’ progress.

Position Overview

The Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) plays a vital role in supporting residents to maintain or improve their physical, psychological, and functional abilities. Working under the supervision of licensed nursing or rehabilitation staff, the RNA provides restorative care, assists with therapeutic activities, and ensures adherence to personalized care plans. This position focuses on improving residents' quality of life through mobility training, exercise programs, and support for daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents in mobility exercises, walking programs, range‑of‑motion exercises, and use of adaptive equipment.


• Provide support for therapeutic activities aimed at improving independence and functionality in daily tasks.


• Observe residents’ progress and communicate changes or concerns to the nursing or rehabilitation team.


• Maintain accurate documentation of restorative services provided and residents’ progress in compliance with facility protocols.


• Assist residents with feeding, grooming, and other activities of daily living as part of restorative care.


• Promote a safe and comfortable environment for residents during restorative care activities.


• Provide encouragement and motivation to residents to achieve their restorative goals.


• Train residents in proper techniques for mobility and transfers while ensuring safety.


• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other team members to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes.


• Clean and maintain restorative equipment and therapy areas as needed.


• Participate in team meetings and contribute to care plan updates.


• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.


• Providing feedback to the interdisciplinary team about status changes of residents receiving therapy.


• Scheduling and prioritizing workload in collaboration with the Rehab Director.

Qualifications

Certified and state tested as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state employed; certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing.
