Job summary

Olympic View Post Acute in Port Angeles, WA is seeking a Restorative Nursing Aide to support residents in walking, strengthening, and maintaining independence. You’ll follow care plans and work closely with therapy to drive progress. Requirements include active Washington NAC/CNA credentials and Restorative Nursing Aide training.

A high school diploma is preferred, with experience in skilled nursing or rehab encouraged. You’ll help with transfers, positioning, ROM, and daily living activities.

Qualifications

• Active Washington NAC/CNA credential is required.
• Restorative Nursing Aide training or certification required by facility.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehab, or restorative nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of range of motion, ambulation, transfers, and positioning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead restorative programs from each resident’s care plan, including walking, ROM, positioning, and weight-bearing activities.
• Carry out maintenance programs designed by therapists.
• Assist residents with daily living activities to build independence.
• Assist with splints, adaptive equipment, and report repairs.
• Assist with safe transfers, turning, and repositioning using proper body mechanics and lift equipment.
• Record resident weights, participation, and progress accurately.
• Notice changes in residents’ abilities and report to nursing/therapy staff.
• Show residents and team members restorative techniques.
• Keep restorative and therapy areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Answer call lights and support the nursing team as needed.

Restorative Nursing Aide | Olympic View Post Acute | Port Angeles, WA | $23–$28/hr

What You’ll Do

• Lead restorative programs from each resident’s care plan, including walking, range-of-motion exercises, positioning, and weight-bearing activities
• Carry out maintenance programs designed by our Physical and Occupational Therapists
• Help residents with daily living activities in ways that build confidence and independence
• Help with splints, adaptive equipment, and assistive devices, and report anything that needs repair
• Assist with safe transfers, turning, and repositioning using proper body mechanics and lift equipment
• Record resident weights, participation, and progress accurately
• Notice changes in residents’ abilities and share them quickly with nursing and therapy staff
• Show residents and team members restorative techniques
• Keep restorative and therapy areas clean, safe, and organized
• Answer call lights and support the nursing team as needed

What You’ll Need

• Active Washington State Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC/CNA) credential (required)
• Restorative Nursing Aide training or certification, as the facility requires
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehab, or restorative nursing preferred
• Knowledge of range of motion, ambulation, transfers, and positioning techniques
• Patience, compassion, and good communication with residents, families, and staff
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend and reach often, and lift at least 25 lbs, with assistance and equipment for heavier transfers
