Job summary

Aviata Health Group is seeking a Restorative Nursing Aide in Jacksonville to support residents and promote maximum function through restorative care. You will assist with dining, ADLs, ROM, transfers, and mobility while providing compassionate, one-on-one engagement and safety awareness.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and state certification, with continuing education requirements and preferred experience in a similar setting. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED and be certified/registered in the state of practice.
• Must maintain a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education to maintain certification.
• Minimum one year of experience preferred in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population.
• Knowledge and skills in basic Restorative Nursing principles and practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents to promote maximum function and minimize decline.
• Provide restorative care including dining, splints, ADLs, bowel and bladder management, ROM, ambulation and transfers.
• Encourage residents to participate in programs via verbal cueing, one-on-one support, and safety precautions.
• Maintain documentation for residents in Restorative Program and notify management of changes.
• Contribute to innovative, responsible healthcare with new ideas and process improvements.

Major Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents receiving restorative nursing to promote the resident's ability to attain and maintain their maximum function potential and minimize functional decline.

• Provide direct restorative care; restorative dining, splints, ADLs, bowel and bladder management, passive and active range of motion, ambulation and transfers.
• Encourage residents to participate in their assigned programs by providing verbal cueing, one on one, and safety precautions.
• Maintains documentation on each resident participating in Restorative Program and notifies management of any resident changes.

• Provide innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.

Minimum Qualifications
