Job summary

Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time or part-time General Dentist faculty position in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. The successful candidate will support pre-doctoral and post-doctoral programs through clinical supervision, didactic instruction, and participation in departmental strategic initiatives.

Faculty are also expected to contribute to institutional service, scholarly activity, and community outreach, including support of Meharry’s

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from a CODA-accredited institution.
• Documented teaching experience in clinical and/or didactic settings.
• DDS/DMD equivalent Foreign Dental Degree.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and instruct students during clinical patient care and restorative procedures.
• Provide didactic lectures and seminars to pre-doctoral and post-doctoral dental students.
• Facilitate laboratory instruction in restorative dentistry and curricula development.
• Mentor students and junior faculty; participate in service and faculty development.
• Support Mobile Dental Unit and community outreach activities.
• Engage in scholarly activities and research opportunities.
• Stay current with evidence-based dentistry and emerging technologies.
