Job summary

Aegis Therapies is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join the Rehab Therapy Team at Pu'uwai 'O Makaha, HI. The role requires CNA certification and focuses on delivering wellness and exercise programs to residents.

Full restorative training is provided on site; prior restorative experience is not required. The position emphasizes limited routine CNA tasks and a strong emphasis on senior wellness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor or similar is preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation/Therapy and work with the therapy team to deliver wellness, fitness and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
• No restorative experience required; CNA certification is required to assist in restorative care.
• Perform exclusive restorative tasks (ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, ROM, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited other CNA duties.

Job Type: PRN Setting: Senior Care/Wellness Location: Pu'uwai 'O Makaha - Waianae, HI 96792 Pay: $17 to $22 per hour

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
• No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required) Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.
