Northridge-Village in Ames, IA is seeking a dedicated Restorative Aide - CNA to provide direct care to residents in a warm, family-oriented community.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Certified Nurse Aide license and be in acceptable standing with the Nurse Aide Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with progressive range of motion exercises and mobility, including bed activities, sitting, transferring, standing, stair climbing, and walking.
• Assist residents with progressive eating during breakfast and lunch.
• Assist residents with progressive bathing and dressing.
• Assist and teach residents in progressive grooming.
• Take and record vital signs according to facility schedule and during restorative activities.
• Document and/or report information regarding residents’ progress and medical condition to charge nurses and supervisor.
• Work closely with the physical therapy department.
• Document all restorative tasks in the electronic medical record.
• Ensure compliance to state and federal regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, hazardous materials handling, and fire safety.
• Ensure residents’ rights are observed and protected.
• Provide care in accordance with the restorative aide assignment sheet.
