Homestead is seeking a Restorative Aide to assist residents in achieving and maintaining optimal function. The role involves leading individualized and group exercise programs, collaborating with PT/OT/Speech, and promoting wellness across residents in Allen Park and Dearborn facilities.

You will review files, document progress daily, and bill for programming monthly. The position emphasizes safety, body mechanics, and proactive participation in the restorative program.

Competenze

• Knowledge of proper body mechanics when working with residents.
• Knowledge of safety concerns and procedures for decrease risk of falls when working with residents.
• Knowledge of medications that may affect client’s ability to successfully participate in restorative program.

• Plan and lead activities that promote wellness (spiritually, cognitively, physically, emotionally).
• Provide 1:1 exercise program that will benefit the restorative client.

• Market the program and articulate its process with family, client and appropriate departments and/or companies.
• Communicate with PT, OT, and Speech departments regarding progress and concerns.

• Complete assessment and document on each client on a daily basis when visited by restorative tech.
• Bill for the completed programming given at the end of each month.

Homestead is hiring a Restorative Aide position that will work with seniors and will split their time between facilities in Allen Park and Dearborn.

The Restorative Aide's job is to assist residents who participate in the Restorative Program on achieving and maintaining optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial function. You will promote resident involvement and help the resident reach his or her goals according to the care plan.

Responsibilities:

• Motivate resident to participate in directed exercise program determined by Restorative tech, as instructed by PT, OT and/or speech therapy
