Job summary

SERVPRO in Austin is seeking a hands-on Construction Tradesman to restore homes and properties after damage. You will work with project managers on planning, scheduling, and executing drywall, finishes, painting, and exterior work to bring spaces back to life.

The role emphasizes quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction while offering training and potential advancement within a veteran-led, family-owned team.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional home remodeling or related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tasks with Project Managers to plan and schedule work.
• Install drywall, mud/tape, paint or finishes to restore surfaces.
• Paint and stain interior and exterior surfaces to restore curb appeal.
• Perform demolition and debris removal to prep spaces for rebuilds.
• Reinstall fixtures and items ensuring proper function and appearance.
• Maintain high workmanship standards and resolve issues for client satisfaction.
• Record hours and collaborate effectively with the team.

What You’ll Do

• Project Coordination: Collaborate with Project Managers to plan and schedule tasks efficiently.
• Drywall & Finishes: Expertly install drywall, handle mudding/taping, and apply paint or finishes to walls, trim, and cabinets to restore aesthetic beauty.
• Interior & Exterior Work: Paint and stain internal and external surfaces to restore curb appeal and property charm.
• Demolition & Removal: Safely perform demolition and debris removal to prep spaces for rebuilds.
• Reinstallation: Reinstall fixtures and items accurately to ensure they function properly and look polished.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain high workmanship standards—identify and resolve issues to guarantee client satisfaction.
• Team Collaboration & Record-Keeping: Work well with teammates, meticulously track work performed and hours logged, and contribute positively to the team dynamic.

What You Bring

• Experience in professional home remodeling or a related field is required.
• A solid work ethic, honesty, reliability, and keen attention to detail.
• Clear, effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Willingness and ability to work extended hours when necessary.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Schedule

• Full-time, between the hours of 7AM–6PM (Mon–Fri), minimum 40hrs/week. Expect evenings, occasional weekends (based on project demands), and local travel—with occasional out-of-area work.

Physical Demands

• Occasionally - lifting materials, climbing ladders, operating in heat/cold, working amid noise and machinery. Frequently - walking, standing, driving, using tools, and navigating jobsite environments.
