Job summary

SERVPRO of Sarasota is seeking Water/Fire & Mold Restoration Technicians to join our remediation team. You will help customers recover from property damage by performing water extraction, drying setup, mold containment, and cleaning/restoration work to return spaces to pre-loss condition or better.

Responsibilities include moisture monitoring, content handling, and thorough documentation for insurance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Effective oral communication with basic math and computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.
• Basic use of iPad/IOS.

Responsibilities

• Water Damage Mitigation: Extract water using pumps and vacuums.
• Set up drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers).
• Monitor moisture levels and document progress.
• Fire & Smoke Damage Restoration: Remove soot and smoke residues from surfaces.
• Clean and deodorize affected areas using specialized equipment.
• Pack out and inventory contents for cleaning and storage.
• Mold Remediation: Contain affected areas and remove contaminated materials.
• Apply antimicrobial treatments.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Customer Service & Documentation: Communicate clearly and compassionately with customers.
• Document work performed using SERVPRO software.
• Maintain accurate records for insurance and compliance.
• Teamwork & Safety: Collaborate with crew chiefs and other technicians.
• Follow OSHA and IICRC safety standards.
• Maintain clean and organized job sites and vehicles.
