Job summary

Lightspeed Restoration is seeking capable technicians to restore homes and businesses in the Austin area after mold, water, or fire damage. You’ll work on-site, follow detailed remediation procedures, and document progress with photos and notes. Training is provided, with opportunities for advancement and licensing support.

• Ability to lift 75 lbs, crawl spaces, attics, and wear respirator/Tyvek for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Mold Remediation: set up containment, remove materials, clean surfaces, apply antimicrobials.
• Water Damage Mitigation: extract water, run dehumidifiers, document drying progress.
• On Every Job: take photos/notes, document thoroughly, treat customers with care, keep sites safe and organized.
• Use proper PPE and safety practices.

What You'll Do

Mold Remediation

• Set up and maintain negative-pressure containment per IICRC S520
• Carefully remove and bag affected materials
• HEPA vacuum and detail-clean every surface, and apply antimicrobials and encapsulants
• Operate air filtration devices and keep containment intact from start to finish
• Prepare areas to pass post-remediation verification the first time

Water Damage Mitigation

• Extract water and set up dehumidifiers, air movers, and air scrubbers
• Take moisture readings and document drying progress
• Perform controlled demolition: carpet, pad, baseboards, drywall, and trim

On Every Job

• Take thorough photos and notes, because good documentation is part of quality work
• Treat customers and their homes with respect and care
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe
• Use proper PPE, respirators, and chemical safety practices

Compensation: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
