Lightspeed Restoration is seeking an experienced Mold Remediation Worker to join our Austin team. You will set up containment, install air filtration, remove moldy materials, and ensure clean post-remediation verification with care for customers and homes.

The role requires a Texas Mold Remediation Worker license, 2+ years of hands-on experience, and the ability to lift 75 lbs and work in tight spaces. We value quality, safety, and long-term commitment.

Formación

• Texas Mold Remediation Worker license is required.
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on mold remediation experience.
• Clean background check and valid Texas driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in attics and crawl spaces.
• Comfortable using a smartphone/tablet for photos and documentation.
• Must follow PPE, respirator, and chemical safety practices.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and maintain negative-pressure containment per IICRC S520 and protocol.
• Install and monitor air filtration devices and verify pressure differentials.
• Remove, bag, and dispose of mold-affected materials safely.
• HEPA vacuum and detail-clean all surfaces; apply antimicrobials and encapsulants.
• Maintain containment integrity from setup through teardown.
• Prepare work areas to pass post-remediation verification on first check.
• Document each job with photos and notes.
• Treat customers and homes with respect and care.
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.
• Adhere to safety practices at all times.

The Role

Mold remediation is a core part of our business, and we’re looking for an experienced, licensed Mold Remediation Worker who holds themselves to a high standard. You already know how to do this work. We’re looking for someone who does it right every time, takes pride in passing clearance the first time, and wants to build a long-term career with a company that values quality.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and maintain negative-pressure containment per IICRC S520 and the remediation protocol
• Install and monitor air filtration devices, and verify pressure differentials
• Remove, bag, and dispose of mold-affected materials safely
• HEPA vacuum and detail-clean all surfaces, and apply antimicrobials and encapsulants
• Maintain containment integrity from setup through teardown
• Prepare work areas to pass post-remediation verification the first time
• Document each job with thorough photos and notes
• Treat customers and their homes with respect and care
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe
• Follow proper PPE, respirator, and chemical safety practices at all times

Requirements

• Current Texas Mold Remediation Worker license
• 2+ years of hands-on mold remediation experience
• Clean background check
• Clean driving record and a valid Texas driver’s license
• Strong attention to detail and the discipline to follow protocols exactly
• Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for photos and job documentation
• Ability to lift 75 lbs, work in attics and crawl spaces, and wear a respirator and Tyvek for extended periods

Nice to Have

• IICRC AMRT certification
• IICRC WRT certification or water mitigation experience
• Commercial remediation experience
• Bilingual English/Spanish

Compensation: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
