Job summary

First Onsite Property Restoration is seeking a Restoration Technician. You’ll learn water and fire restoration basics, set up equipment, and assist with cleanup, while working with experienced teams. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer support in recovery projects.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with tools, participate in rotating on-call shifts, and build practical skills that contribute to safe, restored spaces for clients.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in restoration, construction, or a related field (asset).
• Willingness to learn new techniques and equipment.
• Proficient with mobile devices and relevant applications.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Effective communication with coworkers, supervisors, and customers.
• Valid full class driver's license and clean abstract as applicable.
• Fit test and safety certifications.
• WRT certification and forklift certification are assets.
• Rotating on-call schedule may be required.
• Ability to handle material, lifting, climbing, and PPE use.

Responsibilities

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESTORATION TECHNICIAN

As a Restoration Technician, you start each day ready to make an impact. You'll set up drying and restoration equipment, remove damaged materials, and prepare work areas for the next stage of repair. You'll assist with water extraction, demolition, and cleanup while learning to follow industry standards and safety protocols. Working side by side with experienced technicians, you'll see how teamwork and attention to detail turn damaged spaces into safe, restored environments. Your initiative and reliability keep every project moving smoothly and every client feeling supported.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in restoration, construction, or a related field (cleaning or emergency services experience an asset)
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new techniques and equipment
• Proficient in using mobile devices and relevant applications
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Effective communication skills with coworkers, supervisors, and customers
• Valid full class driver's license and clear driver's abstract depending
• Fit test and other safety certifications
• Water Remediation Technician (WRT) certification an asset
• Forklift certification is an asset
• Includes participation in a rotating on-call schedule
• Ability to complete work activities that may involve material handling, lifting, climbing, and the use of personal protective equipment including respirators, safety footwear, and other required gear
