Job summary

BMS CAT & Blackmon Mooring in Smyrna, GA is seeking individuals to perform smoke, fire, and water restoration cleanup. We will train!

You will support day-to-day remediation operations, performing detailed cleaning, sanitation, and site preparation on residential, commercial, and industrial projects, following safety and quality standards. This role emphasizes physical labor, adherence to PPE, and teamwork.

• Forklift experience and certification (preferred)

• Prior cleaning, janitorial, remediation, or construction experience (preferred—not required)—we will train the right candidate
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cleaning, wiping, HEPA vacuuming, and debris removal in remediation work zones.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining containment barriers, negative air machines, HEPA scrubbers, and dehumidifiers.
• Conduct pre-clean and post-clean sanitation in accordance with IICRC and company standards.
• Safely handle and dispose of contaminated materials following environmental and regulatory guidelines.
• Load-in/load-out of equipment, tools, and materials.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, vehicles, and equipment to ensure a professional and safe environment.
• Follow all PPE requirements, safety protocols, and job-specific instructions provided by supervisors or project managers.
• Document daily work activities, including before/after photos, material usage, and equipment tracking.
• Assist with odor removal, surface decontamination, and antimicrobial application as needed.
• Uphold professionalism when interacting with customers, property owners, and onsite personnel.

Job Summary

You would play a critical role in supporting day-to-day remediation operations. This position is responsible for performing detailed cleaning, sanitation, and site preparation tasks on residential, commercial, and industrial projects involving mold remediation, water damage restoration, fire/smoke cleanup, and environmental decontamination. You must follow strict safety, compliance, and quality standards to ensure all work is completed efficiently, professionally, and according to company protocols.

Responsible for moving business files and boxes;must be able to carefully and efficiently, wrap files and place item on to pallets for transportation.Provide safe transportation for customer property; Perform inspections and complete walk through to ensure proper inventory control for customer property.
