SERVPRO of New Hanover in Wilmington, NC is hiring a Water/Fire/Mold Restoration Technician to respond to service calls, perform restoration work, and help customers recover after water, fire, smoke, and mold events. Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Flexible schedule; may include nights, weekends and on-call duties.

• Ability to travel locally and out of state for storm events.
• Background check required; criminal history must be clear by state and federal law.
• IICRC certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls as needed and perform restoration services.
• Load and unload equipment, set up rooms, and prepare work areas.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment, and job sites; follow safety guidelines.
• Communicate job status and customer needs to crew chief and management.
• Assist other departments as needed and participate in training.

NOW HIRING: Water/Fire/Mold Restoration Technician for our New Hanover Franchise located in Wilmington, NC.

Job Description:

Respond to service calls as needed. Perform services as assigned, following SERVPRO® production guidelines. Communicate with the crew chief to make sure all customer needs are met. Support crew chief and other production personnel, as needed. Clean and maintain vehicles, equipment, warehouse, and office areas, as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn Servpro processes according to job type
• Load & unload the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies needed for each project daily
• Prepare rooms/areas for work activities. Set up staging area and equipment for each project.
• Clean vehicles and equipment daily. Report maintenance issues to supervisors.
• Perform job specific tasks as instructed by lead technicians, crew chiefs, and production managers.
• Communicate task completion, jobsite status and customer communications with technicians, crew chiefs, management and office.
• Perform daily jobsite cleanup and breakdown.
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance.
• Perform Daily, weekly, monthly, annual equipment maintenance.
• Perform weekly facility maintenance
• Communicate facility, equipment and vehicle issues to crew chiefs and management.
• Understand and follow safety and risk management guidelines on the job site, in the office, and while traveling
• Attend all assigned training
• Assist other departments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid drivers license Required
• Flexible schedule (frequently work past 5pm, work nights and weekends as needed)
• Ability to participate on the on call schedule REQUIRED
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Willingness to learn and be trained the Servpro way
• Ability to work with others in a team environment.
• Ability to travel locally and out of state as necessary for storm events.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check clear of criminal history subject to state and federal law.
• IICRC certifications preferred (but not required)

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Exposure to chemicals
• Walking and standing for long periods of time, driving, sitting, climbing,
• Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights
• Ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces under buildings)
• Repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects
• Ability to drive a work vehicle
