Job summary

United Water Restoration Group in Orlando is seeking a dedicated Remediation Technician to respond to property loss incidents and mitigate damage in homes and businesses. You will perform water extraction, structural stabilization, and microbial remediation, delivering professional customer service.

Ideal candidates have restoration experience, IICRC certifications (preferred), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass background and drug screenings.

Qualifications

  • Restoration industry experience required.
  • IICRC certifications preferred; if not certified, company will assist.

Responsibilities

  • Water extraction and mitigation.
  • Fire and smoke cleaning and restoration.
  • Microbial remediation.
  • Vandalism, crime scene, and biohazard cleanup.
  • Demolition.
  • Structural board-up and site stabilization.
  • On-location cleaning.
  • Equipment setup, monitoring and breakdown.
  • Field supervision of temporary labor.
  • Maintain vehicle/equipment inventories.
  • Prepare daily progress reports and logs.
  • Provide high level customer service.

The Restoration Technician is a first responder to property loss situations and helps to mitigate the damage in both residential and commercial structures. Technicians are responsible for water damage mitigation, structural board-up and security, on-location cleaning, and microbial remediation.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Water extraction and mitigation
  • Fire and smoke cleaning and restoration
  • Microbial remediation
  • Vandalism, crime scene, and biohazard clean up
  • Demolition
  • Structural board-up and site stabilization
  • On-location cleaning
  • Equipment set up, monitoring, and break down
  • Field management and supervision of all temporary labor personnel
  • Manage and maintain a clean and organized appearance of the vehicle, equipment, material, and consumables on the job site and warehouse at all times
  • Manage and maintain inventories of all equipment, material, consumables, and tools
  • Representation on UWRG Emergency Mitigation On-Call Rotation
  • Complete all necessary paperwork including daily progress reports, moisture logs, safety logs, and diagrams
  • Provide the highest level of customer service
  • Adheres to all company best practices.
  • All other duties or projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Restoration industry experience (water, fire, and mold) is required
  • IICRC accreditations for fire & smoke, water damage, and microbial remediation are preferred. If you’re not certified, we’ll get you there.
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and written
  • Ability to work with people in a professional manner
  • Maintains a valid and current driver’s license
  • Successfully pass a national criminal background check and motor vehicle report background check
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
