Job summary

A local restoration service provider in Milledgeville is seeking team members to respond to emergencies and perform restoration tasks, including water and fire damage. Ideal candidates will have previous handyman or construction experience, be motivated to learn, and able to lift heavy objects. This position offers on-the-job training and an opportunity for growth within the company, making a difference in the community. Flexible on-call shifts are part of the role, including evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
