Rainbow International Restoration is seeking a skilled Restoration Technician to perform water, fire, and mold mitigation, restoring properties to pre-loss condition and operating drying equipment on-site. The role emphasizes safety, client communication, and sturdy work ethic.

• Prior restoration experience preferred but not required; willing to train the right candidate.
• IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT) are a plus but not mandatory.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work in challenging environments including fire, water, and mold damage.

Responsibilities

• Mitigation and remediation: water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation, and fire/smoke damage cleaning in residential and commercial properties.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust drying and dehumidification equipment for optimal conditions.
• Conduct controlled demolition, removing damaged drywall, flooring, and insulation as needed.
• Clean and sanitize affected areas using specialized cleaning agents and tools.
• Document all activities with moisture readings, equipment usage, and progress; capture before‑and‑after photos for insurance records.
• Communicate effectively with clients, provide project updates, and maintain professionalism in stressful situations.
• Maintain and clean equipment; follow safety guidelines and use PPE; report hazards immediately.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Restoration Technician to join our team. The Restoration Technician is responsible for performing water, fire, and mold mitigation tasks, ensuring that properties are restored to their pre-loss condition. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in restoration, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Mitigation and Remediation:
  • Perform water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation, and fire/smoke damage cleaning in residential and commercial properties.
  • Set up, monitor, and adjust drying and dehumidification equipment, ensuring optimal performance and drying conditions.
  • Conduct controlled demolition, including the removal of damaged drywall, flooring, and insulation, as necessary.
  • Clean and sanitize affected areas using specialized cleaning agents and tools.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Accurately document all activities, including moisture readings, equipment usage, and project progress, using company software.
  • Capture before-and-after photos of affected areas, ensuring proper documentation for insurance purposes.
  • Report project status and issues to the Crew Supervisor or Project Manager in a timely manner.
• Customer Service and Support:
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, explaining the restoration process and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Provide updates to clients throughout the project, ensuring they are informed and satisfied with the work being performed.
  • Demonstrate empathy and professionalism when interacting with clients during stressful situations.
• Equipment Maintenance and Safety Compliance:
  • Maintain and clean all equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to management immediately.
