Job summary

LEMOINE in Lafayette, Louisiana is seeking a qualified Restoration Technician to contribute to their disaster restoration division. The technician will perform cleanup activities, respond to jobs, monitor drying conditions, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Candidates should possess at least 2 years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, and knowledge of restoration standards such as IICRC certifications. Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with hand tools.
  • IICRC Certifications are preferred: ASD, FSRT, OCT, WRT.

Job description

Join LEMOINE as a Restoration Technician and play a pivotal role in the Disaster division. Your expertise in demolition, restoration, and construction will be key to maintaining our commitment to quality workmanship, meeting deadlines, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform physical labor associated with cleanup activities, packing customers’ contents, general on‑location cleaning, HVAC cleaning, and deodorization of facilities.
  • Conduct basic cleaning steps for fire, water, and mold to include, but not limited to the following: wipe down, pack inventory control, wrap goods, load, and unload vehicle.
  • Respond to jobs and initiate water mitigation according to IICRC and WAFRT standards.
  • Proper setup of professional drying equipment.
  • Work daily with Lead Technicians and Supervisors on completing scheduled losses.
  • Monitor drying conditions in atmosphere and building materials.
  • Knowledge of disaster restoration industry and/or construction industry required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Travel is required.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of professional experience.
  • IICRC Certifications: ASD - Applied Structural Drying Technician, FSRT - Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician, OCT - Odor Control Technician, and WRT - Water Damage Restoration Technician (Preferred).
  • Basic knowledge and experience with hand tools.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and software programs.
