Job summary

SERVPRO of Piscataway is seeking a Restoration Supervisor to oversee disaster restoration projects (water, fire, mold) and coach technicians on safety and quality. The role requires operating equipment, preparing sketches, and maintaining documentation for each job.

The position emphasizes on-site work in New Jersey, with opportunities for advancement and training support. A valid driver's license and at least 1 year in restoration or construction are preferred; OCT certification is required or

Qualifications

• Knowledge of disaster restoration industry (Water, Fire, Mold)
• Valid driver’s license
• 1 year of experience in cleaning/restoration/construction
• Xactimate experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time in a clean, complete uniform
• Coach and train restoration technicians and ensure safety standards on active jobs
• Ensure equipment and supplies are loaded and available at the job site
• Monitor and complete drying records and sketches for estimates
• Inspect completed jobs and obtain customer signatures for satisfaction
• Prioritize activities and meet deadlines
• Maintain inventory of supplies

Key Responsibilities

• Knowledge of disaster restoration industry (Water, Fire, Mold)
• Report to work on time in a clean, complete uniform
• Coach and train restoration technicians and ensure safety standards are being followed during all active jobs
• Ensures appropriate equipment and supplies are loaded on truck needed for job, arrives to work site
• Performs daily monitoring and required activities on all active jobs to residential and/or commercial customers with a sense of urgency
• Completes sketch and scope sheet for estimate, complete drying records using mobile software
• Inspects jobs after completion and obtains customer signatures for certification of satisfaction
• Must be able to prioritize activities and meet deadlines
• Maintain inventory of supplies

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• At least 1 year of experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction
• Experience with using Xactimate is preferred but not required
• Certifications required:
  • OCT – Odor Control Technician
• Certifications are preferred, but not required:
  • ASD – Applied Structural Drying Technician
  • FSRT – Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician
  • OCT – Odor Control Technician

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly (occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance) climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (i.e. crawl spaces, attics)
