Job Title – Estimator/Sales

Job Summary

Responsible for preparing and providing estimates to residential and commercial clients who have experienced property damage, insured property loss/claim, or desire capital improvements. The primary focus is to serve as a salesperson, estimate, negotiate, and provide proposals for property work. Building and maintaining strong relationships with property owners and insurance representatives is essential for generating referrals.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Define scope, prepare, and sell jobs for emergency/mitigation, reconstruction, or construction work.
• Respond to service requests promptly.
• Gather measurements, plans, photos, and materials for estimates.
• Coordinate site visits with subcontractors.
• Meet with insurance adjusters at customer properties if needed.
• Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and team members.
• Sell and upsell services; manage leads.
• Ensure all mortgage and insurance requirements are met.
• Ensure estimates are profitable and submit to insurance adjusters.
• Obtain work authorization and contracts before starting work.
• Act as liaison between customer and company, providing updates and managing project transitions.
• Update estimates with hidden damages, change orders, and coordinate with the adjuster.
• Participate in staff meetings and industry-related development activities.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Education: Associates Degree in Construction or related field, knowledge of remediation and reconstruction, 1-2 years of insurance restoration experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office and restoration software, sales experience.

Skills: Organization, time management, project passion, communication, conflict resolution, relationship building, detail orientation, enthusiasm, and sales/service orientation.
