Job Summary

The forklift driver will perform the numerous duties to support the plant receiving and warehousing functions in regard to timely delivery of materials and distribution to appropriate departments.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Verify loads against shipping papers; verify labels and quantity
• Load and unload goods to and from truck
• Assure delivery to appropriate departments and locations
• Prepare receipts for loads picked up
• Help with palletization and shrink‑wrap of daily goods
• Adhere to all safety rules, regulations and company policies
• Use forklift and hand pallet jacks to unload shipments from trucks and move to storage area or deliver to appropriate departments
• Work overtime and weekend hours as needed
• Communicate with all levels of employees and management, working with others in a professional polite manner
• Perform any and all other duties assigned by Bindery/Shipping Manager

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Printing industry experience a plus
• Ability to operate electric pallet jack, floor jack, hand trucker, and shrink wrap

Preferred Skills

• Must be willing to work nights, weekends and overtime
• Must be punctual and arrive on time as scheduled
• Mathematical skills – ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; compute rates, discounts, count inventory and percentages; calculate volumes, weights and measures
• Work planning, organization & execution – Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations with limited standardization; interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
