Responsibilities

• Verify loads against shipping papers and labels.
• Load and unload goods to and from the truck.
• Use forklift and hand pallet jacks to unload shipments.
• Prepare receipts for loads picked up.
• Help with palletization and shrink‑wrap of daily goods.
• Adhere to all safety rules, regulations and company policies.
• Use forklift and hand pallet jacks to unload shipments from trucks and move to storage area or deliver to appropriate departments.
• Work overtime and weekend hours as needed.
• Communicate with all levels of employees and management, working with others in a professional polite manner.
• Perform any and all other duties assigned by Bindery/Shipping Manager

Job Summary

The forklift driver will perform the numerous duties to support the plant receiving and warehousing functions in regard to timely delivery of materials and distribution to appropriate departments.

Roles And Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Printing industry experience a plus
• Ability to operate electric pallet jack, floor jack, hand trucker, and shrink wrap

• Must be punctual and arrive on time as scheduled
• Mathematical skills – ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; compute rates, discounts, count inventory and percentages; calculate volumes, weights and measures
• Work planning, organization & execution – Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations with limited standardization; interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
