  • Job Level:Entry Level (less than 2 years)

We are seeking candidates for a seasonal Restaurant Supervisor withSeaport Grille! This position will monitor service standards to ensureemployee and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate enjoys workingwithin a Food & Beverage team and fast-paced environment.

Experience:

Must have at least two (2) or more years of strong progressive Food& Beverage experience, with previous experience in a Full-ServiceRestaurant. Minimum of one (1) year in a Supervisory role preferred.

TIPS Certification required within 30 days of hire.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Supervise the daily operation of assigned Food & Beveragearea; including the Dining Room & Deck.
  • Direct day-to-day activities and assignments of the front of house team.
  • Attend and lead daily shift meetings and pre-meals, developingtopics to discuss daily, use as a time to educate, discuss issues,talk about guests and feedback.
  • Assist with continually updating the point of sale system, toinclude; maintaining pricing, making adjustments when necessary,entering daily specials, adjusting counts, etc.
  • Communicate the successes, suggestions, activity, and areas ofopportunity for the shift via Daily Shift Report.
  • Practice and ensure cleanliness and safety in all dining areas,liquor and wine storage areas.
  • Create an environment of engagement for team members, while beinga liaison between team members and management.
  • Ensure staff is trained in accordance with the State of MArequirements for serving alcohol effectively.
  • Coordinate workflow to ensure a smooth restaurant operation.
  • Monitor employee’s performance and issues; communicating anydisciplinary issues to the management team.
  • Perform expo, food running, bussing, and serving duties as neededto help the team.
Experience and Skills

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment withmaximum efficiency, accuracy and full attention to detail
  • Requires a working knowledge of Full-Service restaurant operations.
  • Ability to exercise sound logic and judgement in evaluatingsituations and utilizing appropriate resources.
  • Ability to effectively lead and work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Must be self-directed, motivated and demonstrate exceptionalcustomer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, bothverbally and in writing. A second language is desirable.
  • Ability to stand for 10 hours’ length of time
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must have experience in Microsoft Office and knowledge of industryrelevant Point of Sale Systems.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Work will primarily take place in the Restaurant, front of thehouse and heart of the house, to include Service and Kitchen areas,the interior & exterior of the restaurant, with exposure to sun,heat, cold and changing weather conditions.
  • Includes group and solo work.
