Position Summary:

Provide a clear vision of the company's mission to restaurant team members, ensuring all are clear on tasks, execution, and standards. Responsible for daily operation appearance (before, during, and after closing). Meet and exceed operational standards. Maintain a visible presence in the restaurant, engaging with guests, FOH, BOH staff, and peers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote superior guest service.
  • Maintain a positive organizational culture aligned with the Spirit of Tâlícn and ilani's Core Values.
  • Ensure cleanliness in all restaurant areas and surroundings.
  • Document and manage discounts, voids, comps, and transactions accurately.
  • Lead, direct, and manage FOH staff, including hiring, discipline, training, and coaching.
  • Communicate daily with FOH and BOH managers to review operations.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Represent the brand positively to guests.
  • Handle personnel matters professionally, coordinating with Restaurant Managers, Operations Manager, and HR.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
  • Order beverages as directed by the Director of Food Operations.
  • Write detailed shift reports and email to management team.
  • Attend management meetings.
  • Maintain accurate FOH Kronos timekeeping.
  • Protect confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster a supportive team environment.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Toast, Micros, or similar POS systems.
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and high-volume days.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and food.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong financial skills.
  • Availability for 40-50 hours per week based on business needs.
  • Ability to stand for up to 10 hours.
  • Willing to work in a smoking environment and adhere to health and safety policies.
