Job Summary

Assist the Restaurant Manager in all phases of restaurant operations. Responsible for the complete restaurant operation in the absence of the manager.

Summary of Essential Job Functions
  • Monitor servers and busperson adherence to all service standards.
  • Supervise guest service, being attentive to signals from guests in need of assistance.
  • Assist the manager in establishing and monitoring side work duties.
  • Maintain cash bank according to PM Hotel Group standards.
  • Read and prepare daily communication sheets; check floor coverage and restaurant setup.
  • Ensure compliance with liquor laws and oversee liquor control procedures.
  • Oversee cash handling staff to ensure adherence to policies and accounting standards.
  • Communicate daily with the restaurant manager regarding events and guest counts.
  • Assist in conducting menu training and taste panels.
  • Provide clear verbal and written instructions to staff.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Abilities Required
  • Effective communication in English.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Team player willing to assist colleagues.
  • Proficiency with point of sale systems.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull carts weighing up to 150 pounds.
