City Experiences is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor for our City Cruises operation in Philadelphia.

About The Opportunity

The successful Restaurant Supervisor manages the day-to-day activities of the front-of-the-house, including cruise execution, assisting with details and recruitment alongside the restaurant manager and senior restaurant manager to ensure high quality, service, guest satisfaction, and profitability.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Cruise Execution
    • Assist in managing front-of-the-house staff, including recruitment, training, coaching/discipline, and retention
    • Support restaurant managers in shift changes and ensure adherence to procedures, including pre-cruise prep, cruise scripts, food & beverage service, and entertainment
    • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest requests and ensure satisfaction
    • Conduct pre-cruise meetings to inform staff of necessary details
    • Ensure staff and guest safety, including alcohol service and sanitation standards
    • Handle guest service issues diplomatically to promote guest retention
    • Observe and recommend staff training needs
  • Staff Management
    • Assist in recruiting, training, scheduling, and performance management of staff
    • Develop positive relationships with department heads and foster teamwork
    • Support employee incentive programs
  • Administration
    • Maintain cash control and monitor costs
    • Handle payroll and scheduling efficiently
    • Ensure compliance with health and alcohol regulations
    • Attend meetings and operate restaurant systems
Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of guest service experience and supervisory experience
  • Responsible alcohol service (TIPS) and sanitation (ServSafe) certifications required
  • Energetic, enthusiastic personality
  • Basic computer skills; ability to work extended periods, lift heavy items, and be available on major holidays
