Position: Restaurant Sous Chef

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with the executive chef to produce diversified menus in accordance with the restaurant's policy and vision.
  • Come up with new dishes that appeal to clients, as required.
  • Establish the working schedule and organize kitchen operations for smooth workflow.
  • Produce high-quality dishes following the established menu and Lessing's standards, meeting client requirements.
  • Plan food presentation to match dish appearance and taste.
  • Discover and train talented chefs to uphold high standards.
  • Train kitchen staff to optimize results with available resources.
  • Maintain order and discipline during working hours.
  • Create tasting menus for event catering, such as weddings, banquets, and corporate dinners.
  • Ensure hygiene and food safety standards are met at all stages of food preparation.
  • Monitor and maintain professional equipment, reporting malfunctions promptly.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of culinary experience.
  • Culinary degree preferred.
