Job summary

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery is seeking a Shift Leader to support management in achieving restaurant goals. You will enforce policies, supervise staff, and ensure customers receive fast, friendly service.

Responsibilities include maintaining food quality, safety standards, and smooth shift operations. A high school diploma and 1 year in food service are preferred. This role reports to the General Manager or manager on duty.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; some college or degree preferred.
• 1-year experience preferably in the food service industry.
• Must be able to read, write and perform addition/subtraction calculations.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner according to established procedures and health regulations.
• May perform/assist all functions for all positions in the restaurant.
• Shift Readiness – plan, inspect, and anticipate challenges to set up a successful shift and communicate expectations to staff.
• Direct Your Shift – lead the shift with positive attitude, maintain standards, and address issues promptly.
• Follow Up – measure shift results and communicate employee performance and guest concerns to management.
