Job summary

Love's Travel Stops in Indiana is seeking a Restaurant Shift Leader to help run daily operations, lead staff, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage ordering, safety, and food prep, coach teammates, and support the General Manager with scheduling, reporting, and ensuring a clean, compliant dining area for a diverse customer base.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work different shifts
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong communication with customers and team members
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Able to lift/move items over 50 lbs regularly

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained kitchen, following food safety procedures
• Drive sales through ordering, stocking, inventory, and food prep
• Assist the General Manager with scheduling, cash integrity, and daily/weekly/monthly reporting
• Coach and develop staff in preparing and packaging orders to meet service levels
• Oversee dining room cleanliness and proper maintenance of restaurant equipment
• Support overall operations to maximize customer service and efficiency

You will assist in leading staff to provide exceptional customer service, managing processes, and executing strategies to enhance sales and customer satisfaction. Job Functions

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained kitchen, along with adherence to proper food safety procedures
• Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and food preparation
• Assist the General Manager of the facility with proper task execution and completion, follow effective safety practices, schedule and cash integrity, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
• Work alongside team members to coach and develop in preparing and packaging customer orders in a timely manner and to maximize customer service expectations
• Oversee the cleanliness of the dining room and food preparation areas,
• Ensure all restaurant equipment is property maintained

Skills and Demands

• Ability to work various shifts
• Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer satisfaction focus
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
• Frequent lifting/moving of items over 50 pounds or more
