Job summary

Love's Travel Stops in Gretna, FL, is seeking a Restaurant Shift Leader to help run our dining operations and support the General Manager in delivering excellent guest experiences. You will lead team members, ensure food safety, manage orders, stock, and daily reporting, while driving sales and efficiency.

Ideal candidates are flexible with shifts, proficient in Microsoft Office, and bring strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant leadership or shift supervision.
• Ability to manage inventory and food preparation.
• Strong communication and customer service focus.
• Willingness to work varied shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean kitchen and food safety compliance.
• Drive sales through efficient ordering, stocking, and prep.
• Assist GM with task execution, scheduling, cash integrity, and reporting.
• Coach team to prepare and pack orders while maximizing service.
• Oversee dining area cleanliness and proper equipment maintenance.
• Support team in maintaining inventory and quality standards.

Restaurant Shift Leaders play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our restaurant. You will assist in leading staff to provide exceptional customer service, managing processes, and executing strategies to enhance sales and customer satisfaction. Job Functions:

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained kitchen, along with adherence to proper food safety procedures


• Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and food preparation


• Assist the General Manager of the facility with proper task execution and completion, follow effective safety practices, schedule and cash integrity, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting


• Work alongside team members to coach and develop in preparing and packaging customer orders in a timely manner and to maximize customer service expectations


• Oversee the cleanliness of the dining room and food preparation areas,


• Ensure all restaurant equipment is property maintained

Skills And Demands:

• Ability to work various shifts


• Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer satisfaction focus


• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail


• Frequent lifting/moving of items over 50 pounds or more
