Job summary

Texas Roadhouse is seeking a Restaurant Shift Lead to join our team. You will help manage labor costs, supervise front- and back-of-house operations, and support the management team in delivering great guest experiences.

You will lead by example, coach staff, and ensure food safety, consistency, and adherence to service standards while promoting our culture of passion and fun. Weekly pay and a strong rewards package are available.

Qualifications

• Experience leading front- or back-of-house teams.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to supervise and coach staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain projected costs and labor during scheduled shifts.
• Provide hands-on supervision of the restaurant, including occasional non-scheduled duties.
• Host promotions and Alley Rallies to engage guests.
• Ensure staff follows recipes and procedures.
• Enforce liquor laws and Responsible Alcohol Service guidelines.
• Control guest flow and monitor ticket times.
• Enforce employment policies with management.
• Coach employees to maintain consistency in food and service to increase sales.
• Perform 100% table visits where applicable.
• Practice safe food handling procedures.
• Maintain culture and core values: passion, partnership, integrity, and fun with purpose.
• Work during peak business hours to set the pace in Front or Back of House.
• Create a fun, safe environment by following core values and implementing incentives for staff.

Texas Roadhouse is looking for a Restaurant Shift Lead who has strong communication and leadership skills to assist the management team.

Responsibilities

As a Restaurant Shift Lead your responsibilities would include (responsibilities would vary depending on Front of House or Back of House):

• Helping to maintain projected costs and labor during scheduled shifts


• “Hands on” supervision of the restaurant. This includes but is not limited to, occasional temporary non-scheduled assistance with serving, hosting, cooking, and other duties


• Hosting promotions (incentives) and Alley Rallies


• Helping make sure staff is following established recipes and procedures


• Helping enforce applicable liquor laws and Responsible Alcohol Service guidelines


• Helping to control the guest flow and monitoring ticket times


• In conjunction with all management, enforcing compliance with all employment policies in areas of responsibility


• Coaching employees to maintain consistency in food and service to increase sales


• 100% table visits (if applicable)


• Understanding, managing, and practicing safe food handling procedures


• Maintaining culture and core values: passion, partnership, integrity, and fun with purpose


• Working during peak business hours to set the pace in Front or Back of House


• Creating a fun, safe environment by following our core values and operational goals, and implementing contests, theme nights, and creating incentives for the staff
