Job summary

Texas Roadhouse, Inc. is seeking a Restaurant Shift Lead to support the management team with leadership and strong communication skills. The role involves hands-on supervision, labor control, and promoting staff engagement through promotions and events.

You will ensure adherence to recipes, procedures, and responsible alcohol service while coaching teams to deliver consistent food and service. The position emphasizes a fun, safe environment aligned with core values.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain projected costs and labor during shifts.
• Hands-on supervision of the restaurant, including occasional non-scheduled duties.
• Host promotions and Alley Rallies.
• Help ensure staff follow recipes and procedures.
• Enforce liquor laws and Responsible Alcohol Service guidelines.
• Monitor guest flow and ticket times.
• Coach staff to maintain consistency in food and service to increase sales.
• Attend to 100% table visits where applicable.
• Ensure safe food handling procedures and maintain core values.

Texas Roadhouse is looking for a Restaurant Shift Lead who has strong communication and leadership skills to assist the management team.

As a Restaurant Shift Lead your responsibilities would include (responsibilities would vary depending on Front of House or Back of House):

• Helping to maintain projected costs and labor during scheduled shifts
• “Hands on” supervision of the restaurant. This includes but is not limited to, occasional temporary non-scheduled assistance with serving, hosting, cooking, and other duties
• Hosting promotions (incentives) and Alley Rallies
• Helping make sure staff is following established recipes and procedures
• Helping enforce applicable liquor laws and Responsible Alcohol Service guidelines
• Helping to control the guest flow and monitoring ticket times
• In conjunction with all management, enforcing compliance with all employment policies in areas of responsibility
• Coaching employees to maintain consistency in food and service to increase sales
• 100% table visits (if applicable)
• Understanding, managing, and practicing safe food handling procedures
• Maintaining culture and core values: passion, partnership, integrity, and fun with purpose
• Working during peak business hours to set the pace in Front or Back of House
• Creating a fun, safe environment by following our core values and operational goals, and implementing contests, theme nights, and creating incentives for the staff
