Job summary

Neiman Marcus in Dallas is seeking a Restaurant Server Assistant to uphold the high dining standards of our luxury brand. You will help maintain the dining room setup, assist with service tasks, and ensure guests receive attentive, timely beverage and food service.

The role requires standing, lifting up to 35 pounds, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with prior food and beverage experience highly valued.

You Will Be

The Restaurant Server Assistant maintains setup in the dining rooms to see to it that guests have the level of food and beverage service consistent to the high standards set by Neiman Marcus.

What You Will Do

• Focuses on table maintenance in the dining room, including clearing and re-setting tables
• Delivers popovers, butter, and pours water
• Delivers food and beverage to guests as indicated by kitchen tickets
• Maintains the bus station and beverage areas
• Learns table numbers and sections in the dining area
• Assists kitchen staff and service staff with any service needs (e.g., additional customer requests, restocking plates, bagging "to go" orders, setting up expediter station)
• Assists waitstaff with any service needs, refilling beverages and running food from the kitchen to the dining room as needed
• Sets up the dining room with key items, including but not limited to coffee, iced tea, and ice
• Maintains dining room by restocking glasses, flatware, and linens
• Participates in daily pre-shift meeting
• Executes pre-shift, post-shift, and daily and weekly duties as assigned by supervisor
• Lifts and moves objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.)
• Cleans and maintains restaurant and workstation
• Maintains the highest level of hygiene standards to include, but not limited to:
• Clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes
• Clean and professionally styled hair and nails, maintained to avoid food contamination risks
• Reports to work area dressed appropriately and prepared to work with any necessary supplies / equipment to perform job duties
