Job summary

Embassy Suites Asheville Downtown is seeking a friendly Restaurant Server to join our Food & Beverage team and help create memorable dining experiences for guests. You’ll greet guests, present menus, take orders, and coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely service while maintaining hospitality at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of restaurant serving experience.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming dining experience.
• Present menus, take accurate orders, and provide tailored recommendations.
• Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring accuracy and guest needs.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, addressing requests and refilling beverages.
• Respond knowledgeably to guest inquiries about menu items and dietary needs.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently to maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and escalate concerns to management if needed.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including dining area setup and workstation cleaning.
