Essential Job Functions
This summary outlines primary responsibilities and qualifications. The hotel operates 24/7, so shifts may vary.
- Greet guests warmly and explain specials and promotions.
- Check station setup and cleanliness before, during, and after shifts.
- Record and repeat guest orders for accuracy.
- Input orders into the POS system for kitchen processing.
- Retrieve and confirm order accuracy with the kitchen, then deliver to guests with condiments.
- Follow all liquor regulations regarding minors and intoxicated guests.
- Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
- Market and serve desserts or specialty coffees upon request.
- Assist in clearing and resetting tables.
- Perform side work such as replenishing condiments and restocking supplies.
- Complete cleaning tasks using standard products to meet health standards.
- Present checks promptly.
- Adhere to company policies, safety, and security procedures.
- Know fire prevention and emergency procedures.
- Use protective equipment and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and groomed appearance as per the handbook.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and assist team members as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of liquor regulations and holding required certifications (Food Handler Card, TABC license).
- Basic food and beverage knowledge, service standards, and etiquette.
- Understanding of table settings and service ware.
- Basic English communication skills.
- Ability to follow written instructions and promote menu items.
- Operate beverage equipment like coffee makers.
Physical Demands
- Transport up to 30 lbs. frequently, including lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Constant standing, walking, and frequent twisting, bending, reaching, and talking.
