About The Role

The Restaurant Server is responsible for serving all guests according to established standards of quality.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain established company and Departmental uniform, appearance, and hygiene standards at all times
• Work with a computerized POS system for order entry, pre-check functions, etc.
• Complete all set-up and closing duties in a timely fashion
• Familiar with all pre-check and cashiering procedures; present check to guest and collect payment
• Adhere to state liquor laws
• Relay guest complaints/compliments to the appropriate supervisor
• Observe diners to respond to additional requests and determine when the meal is completed
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility
• Knowledge of safety/guest liability procedures for guests and employees

Essential Functions

• Work in a casino environment with exposure to secondhand smoke, noise, and stress in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting
• Shift work may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Lift and carry trays weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly

Requirements

• Effective communication in English
• Prior wine knowledge preferred but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred
• Minimum six months' experience as a server in a high-volume or fine dining environment
• Ability to work under pressure
