Position Summary
Server provides food and beverage service tableside to residents, resident families, and guests. This position maintains the cleanliness of the dining room, service stations, beverage machines, and all other work areas.
Regular Hours
Shift schedule: 1:00–8:00 pm (weekdays) and 10:30 am–3:00 pm on Sundays, rotating weekends.
Essential Functions
- Serve meals and bus tables with a warm, friendly, courteous, respectful, and engaging demeanor.
- Assist team members by setting up and breaking down dining room tables and wait stations before and after meals, ensuring the dining room is prepared for the next service.
- Participate in the training of new team members.
- Assist with dining service for special functions, private dining events, and special guests.
- Clear tables, replace linens, set tables, and maintain a clean and attractive dining room.
- Clean equipment, furniture, appliances, floors, drains, storage area, refrigerator, freezer, and sinks according to schedule.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and clutter‑free environment.
- Store and retrieve residents’ assistive devices during mealtimes, ensuring safety is never compromised.
- Participate in and attend all required in‑service training and education programs as scheduled.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- 1–2 years’ experience in a similar position desired.
- ServSafe certification preferred; employer can assist with obtaining certification.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
- Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.
- Proficiency with miscellaneous software and office equipment.
- Ability to follow directions as given.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate objects, reach with arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, taste, and/or smell.
- Lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Remain free of communicable diseases during the performance of responsibilities.
- Possible exposure to minimal-to-moderate noise, blood and/or body fluids; may encounter traumatic situations including psychiatric and deceased residents.
Travel
No travel is expected; occasional travel may be required for training sessions, continuing education opportunities, emergency situations, and other company functions.
