Summary of Position
Provides friendly and efficient service in a timely manner to guests according to company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards. Shows guests genuine hospitality while providing them with a memorable experience. Looks professional and shows sincerity with a positive, friendly attitude. Performs all duties to maximize guest satisfaction and create a positive work environment as directed by the Manager on Duty.
Position Activities and Tasks
- Guest Interactions
- Reports to work well-groomed, in a clean and proper uniform, and practices good personal hygiene at all times.
- Greets guests courteously when seated at station.
- Welcomes guests immediately upon seating with a non-scripted greeting.
- Uses menu knowledge to offer suggestions, answer questions, and anticipate guests’ needs.
- Delivers hot food, checking for accuracy, appearance, and temperature, then delivering immediately.
- Provides Perkins Service by showing genuine hospitality, personality, and specific suggestions. Actively engages with guests, addresses concerns, and ensures 100% satisfaction.
- Maintains cleanliness of tables, stations, pantry line, and dining areas. Completes assigned cleaning duties.
- Attends to additional guest needs or requests.
- Pre-busses, details, and maintains the dining area.
- Ensures stations and pantry are clean and stocked, performs side work during downtime.
- Follows the service cycle and team responsibilities to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Communicates with management regarding issues and proposes solutions.
- Processes orders, writes checks, and operates POS systems according to policies.
- Identifies and corrects system breakdowns to maximize guest satisfaction.
- Assists team members as needed.
- Maintains cleanliness of service stations, garnish line, and common areas.
- Restocks supplies and utensils, cleans mirrors and artifacts.
- Runs food to ensure hot food is served hot.
