Job summary

SentryWorld is seeking a friendly PJ restaurant server to provide attentive service in a Wisconsin hospitality setting. You will take orders, deliver meals, answer questions, and help guests select dishes and beverages while maintaining table readiness and a welcoming atmosphere.

Must be 18+, have a HS diploma or equivalent, and ideally 1+ year serving experience; TIPS certification is required. Night and weekend shifts are included, with employee meal and discount perks.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive dining experience by taking orders, delivering meals, fulfilling requests, refilling glasses and clearing tables.
• Maintain knowledge of current menu choices and specials.
• Assist guests with dining selections and explain dishes and ingredients.
• Handle payments: totaling charges, issuing checks, processing payments, issuing receipts.
• Suggest wine and beverages to complement meals.
• Set tables and refilling condiments to prepare dining area.

As a PJ restaurant server, you’ll provide friendly, efficient service. Ensure every guest feels welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed during their visit At Sentry, the best parts of our business come from our very own backyard. We work as a small team and have very high standards of service, meaning we work hard and with precision. We are looking for someone that is focused, passionate, empathetic, and takes hospitality seriously.

What You’ll Do

• Provide positive dining experience by taking orders, delivering meals, fulfilling customer requests, refilling glasses and removing dishes at conclusion of courses
• Maintain knowledge on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations.
• Help customers in dining selection by suggesting dishes, explaining house specials and answering questions regarding food preparation and ingredients.
• Responsible for totaling charges, issuing checks, processing payments and issuing receipts.
• Properly skilled to suggest appropriate wines and other beverages to go along with customers’ meals.
• Prepare room for dining by setting tables and refilling condiments.

What it Takes

• Age requirement of 18+ required
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience, 1+ years of previous serving experience preferred
• Must be able to obtain TIPS Certification
• Ability to move equipment to and from the kitchen
• Hours for this job include working nights, weekends and holidays
