Job summary

The Ned Washington DC (Ned's Club) is seeking a personable Restaurant Server to deliver top-tier hospitality in a members-only club environment. You will be the friendly face guiding guests through their dining experience, using menu knowledge to tailor recommendations and ensure memorable visits.

Reporting to the Restaurant management team, you will maintain Ned standards, support a safe and clean setting, and collaborate with membership relations to learn guest preferences for repeat visits.

• Knowledge of food and beverage is advantageous, with willingness to learn our menu.

Responsibilities

• Be the main point of contact for the member’s dining experience, tailoring service to deliver exceptional moments.
• Answer queries and provide menu recommendations to ensure the perfect meal.
• Maintain a polished presentation and deliver a smooth operation with a friendly energy.
• Guard food and beverage quality and presentation to Ned standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean restaurant environment for guests and teammates.
• Collaborate with the membership relations team to create memorable experiences.
• Build rapport with members and learn their preferences for future visits.
• Shifts vary from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM or 1:00 AM.

Who we are…

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.

After launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to have opened a Ned’s Club in the US capital in 2025, our fourth and newest location.

The Property…

Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW. The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-story building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.

The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.

Reporting into the Restaurant management team and as the friendly face of the member experience you will:

• Be the main point of contact for the member’s dining experience, tailoring your service to deliver the exceptional moments Ned’s Club is known for
• Using your unrivalled knowledge of our menus, you’ll answer all queries and provide recommendations to make sure every guest receives the perfect meal
• Even when not directly interacting with our guests you will be in full view so you will always be impeccably presented, delivering a slick operation, all with a friendly and open energy
• Be the last guardian of food and drink quality and presentation, never letting anything lower than the Ned standards reach our guests
• Maintain a safe and clean restaurant environment, protecting our guests and your teammates from any possible harm
• Collaborate with our membership relations team where necessary, providing members with an amazing experience every time is your top priority
• Build rapport with members over time, learning their preferences and what makes for an amazing experience storing this information on our reservations system for future visits
• In Ned’s Club restaurants shifts vary from breakfast shifts to late finishes

• Rapport building skills are essential for working in our Club spaces, every guest is a loyal member or a potential new member, so every interaction is crucial
• As the smiling face looking after every member and guest in our Club spaces, you’ll have a bright personality and genuine warmth with a passion for outstanding hospitality
• This can be a high-pressure role, so a calm demeanor and ability to defuse situations and turn them into a positive is extremely valuable
• In our Club spaces you may be looking after high-profile people who value their privacy, so a degree of confidentiality is non-negotiable
• Great all-round food and drinks knowledge is an advantage, but we can teach you everything you need to know about our menus
• Our members expect the best, so patience and a genuine desire to deliver outstanding experiences every time is an absolute must
• We love people to continuously improve, so if you have the desire to learn and progress then you can take part in loads of learning here at Ned’s Club as part of our monthly learning calendar
• Able to work PM shifts starting at 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM or 1:00 AM
• Able to work flexible shifts to include: weekdays, weekends and holidays
• Able to stand for long periods of time to include entire shift
• Able to lift, pull, push a minimum of 35 pounds
