Job summary

Europa Village is seeking a part-time Restaurant Server in Temecula, CA, to deliver gracious service in a wine country setting. You will greet guests, explain menus and specials, and coordinate with kitchen and bar to ensure timely service.

Ideal candidates bring a passion for hospitality, strong customer service, and the ability to upsell items while maintaining Europa Village standards and state liquor laws.

Qualifications

• Fine dining experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests with a smile and eye contact and introduces oneself.
• Delivers unsurpassed level of customer service to each guest.
• Has extensive knowledge of food and beverage menu and able to recommend, upsell and reinforce the guests' orders.
• Ability to thoroughly communicate the daily specials.
• Identifies appropriate wines and beers to pair with meals.
• Follows all state liquor laws and SAWS policies including proper ID checking.
• Accurately and efficiently run POS system.
• Communicates each food order to kitchen staff and ensures dietary guidelines are followed.
• Keeps tabs on guests and kitchen to communicate delays or expediting needs.
• Ensures the entire table is served at the same time and assists with carrying trays.

Bolero Restaurante at Europa Village takes our guests on a culinary journey throughout the country of Spain. Our menu celebrates the centuries old tradition of dining together, tapas style. Tapas are prepared typically in bite size offerings and made to be shared.

Europa Village is looking for a part-time Restaurant Server. The ideal candidate will have a passion for service with an out-going, self-motivated and energetic personality. Fine dining experience is a plus. Strong customer service is a must.

Restaurant Manager

Responsibilities Specific to a Restaurant Server:

• Possess and live Europa Village core values.


• Greets guests with a smile and eye contact and introduces oneself.


• Delivers unsurpassed level of customer service to each guest.


• Has extensive knowledge of food and beverage menu and able to recommend, upsell and reinforce the guests' orders.


• Ability to thoroughly communicate the daily specials.


• Makes recommendations and answers all related questions.


• Ability to identify appropriate wines and beers to pair with meals.


• Follows all state liquor laws and Serving Alcohol with Sense (S.A.W.S) policies, including proper ID checking, responsible beverage service and ensuring no one under 21 is served alcohol.


• Accurately and efficiently run POS system


• Ability to accurately communicate each food order to kitchen staff and guidelines for special dietary issues are followed.


• Ability to keep tabs on both guests and the kitchen in order to communicate delays or if an order need to be expedited.


• Ensures the entire table is served at the same time. Asks for assistance in carrying out trays if necessary.


• Removes plates, dishes, silverware and condiments as guests finish. Keeps table free of empty and unneeded items.


• Other duties as assigned.

• Be hospitable, welcoming, and exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to assist where necessary.


• Keep eye out for attention to detail.


• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
