Job Summary

Provide food and beverage service, including taking orders and delivering items. Ensure a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional manner to achieve high guest satisfaction.

Essential Job Functions

This summary outlines primary responsibilities and qualifications. The hotel operates 24/7, so shift times may vary.

1. Greet guests warmly, explain specials and promotions.
2. Check station setup and cleanliness before, during, and after shifts.
3. Record and repeat guest orders for accuracy.
4. Enter orders into the POS system for kitchen processing.
5. Retrieve, verify, and deliver orders with condiments.
6. Follow liquor laws regarding alcohol service.
7. Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
8. Offer desserts and specialty coffees upon request.
9. Assist bus staff with clearing and resetting tables.
10. Complete side work, including restocking condiments.
11. Perform cleaning tasks per health standards.
12. Present checks promptly.
13. Adhere to company policies, safety, and security procedures.
14. Know emergency procedures and use protective equipment.
15. Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions.
16. Maintain a neat appearance as per standards.
17. Perform additional duties as assigned.
18. Support other restaurant staff as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Understand liquor laws regarding minors and intoxicated guests.
• Possess a current Food Handler Card or certification process underway.
• Hold a valid TABC license.
• Basic knowledge of food/beverage service, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Familiarity with table settings and service ware.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Ability to follow product instructions safely.
• Recall and promote menu items.
• Operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker.

Physical Demands

• Transport up to 30 lbs. regularly.
• Lift up to 30 lbs.
• Constant standing and walking.
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and smiling.
